About us

OFF-Bühne KOMPLEX brings together artists, social geographers, cultural managers and technicians who share a common vision: Creating an open and appropriate cultural space with an interactive stage, as well as professional infrastructure and competent support. The promotion and development of up-and-coming artists is one of our most important concerns. The Sonnenberg offers a very good basis for an open, experimental venue that unites contemporary theatre, dance, performance, film and music under one roof. The former church in the backyard of Zietenstraße 32 offers space for80 spectatorswhen seated.

While Klub Solitaer e.V. provides the venue, Taupunkt e.V. Chemnitz is largely responsible for designing the programme. It consists of co-productions, residencies, guest performances, arthouse cinema workshops and a children’s programme.

Together, we create a space that not only offers a cultural programme, but also enables interested citizens to participate in the programme and make their own contribution. Here we work FOR, and above all WITH the audience.

Co-productions

We support projects by independent performing artists by providing rehearsal space and a stage free of charge. In addition to providing technical support, we also take care of public relations work in order to advertise the performance appropriately.
